The sand-filtering part of the wire-wrapped screen pipe is the screen cylinder. The screen bars are welded to the ribs around the circumference by resistance welding in a point contact manner, and then welded together with the end joint at both ends to form the screen cylinder. The perforated base pipe is inserted into the screen cylinder and welded together again to form a complete wire-wrapped screen pipe. The gap between two rows of screen bars is the screen opening, which plays a key role in filtering the produced fluid while blocking the movement of formation sand or proppant.
